Victorian Weather
The weather in Victoria is full of extremes; from fires to floods to droughts to cyclones. This can lead to much of the human and natural environments being destroyed by bush fires , floods, cyclones, and drought. However, such events are quite rare in the extreme forms, and the weather is usually more consistent. The weather consists of rain, sun, some extreme winds, some hail and very little snow and sleet, up on the Great Dividing range; the highest point in Victoria. The weather is Victoria is normally stable, though, which makes the climate more enjoyable and liveable for human beings and the animals.
The photographs below show a great number of bush fires, the most frequent natural hazard in Victoria. The fourth photograph in the slide show (which you can enlarge by clicking on it. This will move it to the front of the slideshow) shows the locations of many of the bush fires in Victoria.
